I say Wacky Wednesday because I am kinda all over the place at the moment. First, trying to contain a Trigeminal Neuralgia attack while waiting for my daughter's spine surgery to start. This whole mask shit is irritating. I have a medical condition where masks irritate the nerves on the whole right side of my face and then the attack happens. If it is full blown - I am on the ground writhing in pain. It is one of the most painful conditions to have and I already deal with so much pain on a daily basis. I do not want to purposefully trigger one of these attacks otherwise, I'll be in the ER while my kid is in surgery. Anyway, I need to raise awareness of this condition. Please visit www.aans.org/Patients/Neurosurgical-Conditions-and-Treatments/Trigeminal-Neuralgia to learn more about this rare, and painful condition.
Yes, you read right... my daughter is having another spine surgery today. It isn't as involved as her previous scoliosis surgery, but nonetheless, it is another spine surgery for her. I want to raise awareness for Scoliosis as well. She always had issues breathing, pain, and yet we were told she needs to lose weight or it was growing pains. Not one doctor/pediatric doctor ever checked her fully for scoliosis while growing up. I checked her records and all scoliosis sections were marked none... yeah fast forward and she is 18 and by chance we found out about her condition - 61 degree curve in the mid to lower part of her spine. Anyway, she is now back in the OR and we wait.
I just want to thank everyone for visiting and reading my ramblings - short and long. Hopefully, they help someone out there to know you aren't alone. Have a fantastic day! Til Later
